Prior to joining Embassy Row, DeMontreux spent 25 years at AMC Networks, most recently as Senior Vice President of Original Programming at IFCtv for the last 7 years. Under her leadership, IFC discovered and produced the hit show, Portlandia, created, written by and starring Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, and executive produced by Lorne Michaels; Comedy Bang! Bang!, based on Scott Aukerman’s popular podcast; Maron, loosely based on the life of comedian and podcaster Marc Maron; the sketch comedy series The Birthday Boys, executive produced by Bob Odenkirk and Ben Stiller; and The Spoils of Babylon, a scripted comedy produced by Funny or Die and executive produced by Will Ferrell. DeMontreux was also instrumental in bringing R. Kelly’s hip hop opera, Trapped in the Closet to IFC.
DeMontreux graduated from Hofstra University with a BA in drama. She lives in New Jersey with her husband and son.
